Personnel are often more willing to speak honestly to AI leaders than human managers because they perceive AI as fairer and less socially risky. The findings highlight challenges faced by human leadership.

Learning Outcomes

  • Explain the relationship between AI leadership, perceived fairness, and psychological safety; and how these factors influence employee willingness to provide honest feedback.
  • Compare the effectiveness of AI and human leaders in different workplace contexts, particularly distinguishing between cognitive tasks and emotionally sensitive situations.
  • Evaluate the implications of AI-enabled leadership for organisations, including what employee trust in AI may reveal about communication, feedback, and leadership practices in the workplace.
