Lockheed eyes two-year timeline to pick new F-35 cooling system

BLUF

The cooling system will be fitted to both in-service and future F-35s. The new system, called the Power and Thermal Management Unit (PTMU), is needed for forthcoming upgrades that will make the jet run hotter.
