BLUF

This article examines whether the number of B-21s being built is sufficient. USAF plans to build at least 100 of the aircraft, but experts are arguing the number is insufficient given current global threats from China, Russia, and Iran.

Summary

  1. One hundred B-21s cannot effectively cover multiple theatres of operations simultaneously.
  2. Three hundred B-21s could more effectively respond to potential global conflicts.
  3. Knowing the US possessed 300 of this aircraft may even deter rivals from initiating hostilities.
