Lt. Gen. Atkins, USAF (Ret), MOAA’s president and CEO, interviewed Gen. Charles Brown Jr. and asked for his insight on the Air Force’s future direction.
Brown said the following;
Improve diversity and inclusion of African Americans through reviews and initiatives.
Meet the challenges of recruiting by being more creative using the ingenuity and innovation of Airmen.
Advance training utilising Virtual Reality (VR) allows students to sit at home and fly the Visual Flight Rules pattern before getting in an aircraft.
Air Force’s nuclear recapitalisation is a high priority as we need to modernise.
Develop young leaders by giving them the tools they need to feel comfortable in a leadership role.
Reduce sexual assault and harassment by creating a culture and environment to prevent an event. Hold airmen accountable and support victims.
