Summary

Many indigenous veterans underestimate their skills and misjudge their worth upon discharge. Teamwork, discipline and leadership are instilled within ADF personnel the moment they commence initial training and continues across all ranks and categories. Indigenous veterans are highly respected and valued in numerous sectors, allowing them to serve their country and community long after they leave the ADF. This podcast makes a case for increased participation by indigenous veterans in defence industry. It is worth noting that defence industry is experiencing significant growth following the Commonwealth’s 10 year—$200 billion commitment to Defence capability, including the most extensive regeneration of Navy since WW2.
