The U.S. Government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through CAISI will conduct pre-deployment evaluations of frontier AI models from major tech firms, to assess cybersecurity and national security risks before public release.Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the role of pre-deployment evaluation in frontier AI governance and security assurance.
- Identify how government–industry collaboration is being used to assess AI capability risks.
