Our research shows children produce better pieces of writing by hand. But they need keyboard skills too

2. Keyboard writing needs to be taught after mastering handwriting.
3. Learning to type requires complex cognitive, visual, and motor skills.
4. Both handwriting and typing should be practised regularly for proficiency.
