Scientists at Drexel University USA may have found a way to create lithium-sulphur batteries with three times the capacity of existing batteries.Summary

- Drexel researchers were looking at a new type of battery—lithium-sulfur.
- The main problem was this type of battery only lasts 2000 charge cycles, half that of existing batteries.
- However, they found that a particular chemical phase could stop battery degradation.
- They were then able to produce a battery that was a third of the size of existing lithium batteries.
- It also had twice the lifespan.
