Operational resilience means sustaining critical functions under adversity by combining capacity, ability, and experience (CAE or ACE). This model emphasizes redundant/alternative paths, authority to adapt, and practicing failure to ensure systems bend rather than break.

Learning Outcomes

  • Explain the concept of Operational Resilience and its importance.
  • Explain the three pillars of the ACE Model—Capacity, Ability, and Experience—and evaluate how each contributes to maintaining critical functions.
  • Evaluate strategies for enhancing operational resilience in real-world scenarios.
