The U.S. Army is exploring the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) to replace Typhon’s oversized design, offering medium and heavy variants capable of launching offensive and defensive missiles with semi-autonomous, rapidly deployable configurations.Learning Outcomes:
- Explain the advantages of the CAML in filling capability gaps in contrast to the the Typhon launcher
- Assess the design challenges of creating a modular, autonomous launcher for both offensive and defensive fires.
- Analyse the strategic implications of rapidly fielding CAML's to support multi-domain operations.
