US military home school at twice the rate of civilians, due the frequent moves and extended family separation with deployments and unaccompanied postings. DoD wants to expand support with school liaison officers to work with homeschool parents.Learning Outcomes:
- Recognise the educational disruption the military can cause for families
- Acknowledge that homeschooling is a viable strategy for military families
- Appreciate that homeschool parents may need support
