Climate change is an issue of National Security, and the ADF needs to be able to incorporate this into planning and policy.

Summary

  1. Climate change impacts National Security due to it being a ‘threat multiplier’.
  2. Climate change will impact future ADF missions.
  3. The Defence Strategic Review stated that climate change will increase the level of humanitarian. assistance required both domestically and internationally.
