In a world first, the USAF is combining two broken F35 aircraft to salvage usable parts into one working aircraft.Summary
- Work is being conducted at Hill AFB and expected to be completed in 2025.
- Two previously damaged F35 aircraft are being salvaged and fused together.
- The process will assist with future F35 parts cannibalisation procedures for aircraft restoration.
