- Body armour must prevent bullets from penetrating by absorbing and translating the bullet's energy back into the bullet to reduce the bullet's effectiveness.
- Kevlar EXO aims to meet these requirements while being thinner.
- The US National Institute of Justice sets standards for body armour, which Kevlar EXO meets.
