Japan, Australia to develop communication technologies for undersea RAS

Summary

1. Agreement between Australia’s Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) and Japan's Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA). 
2. Initial focus will be on underwater communication to enhance interoperability. 
3. First research project to be completed by 2027.
