Work on the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) twin-engine stealth fighter will now press ahead.

Summary

  1. The state-run Aeronautical Development Agency and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. are leading the development.
  2. The Indian Air Force wants seven squadrons of the AMCA fighters.
  3. The fighter’s maiden flight should occur before the end of 2028.
