Astronomers discover 196-foot asteroid with 1-in-83 chance of hitting Earth in 2032

Discovered in 2024, the 60-metre-wide asteroid YR4 could impact anywhere from South America to Africa. Its unknown composition may affect severity. A similar asteroid strike in 1908 flattened 2,072 square kilometres.
