As the US military prepares for the challenge of sustaining a potentially protracted military operation in the Pacific theatre, its services are working together to develop what’s being called Joint Theatre Sustainment Distribution Centres.Learning Outcomes
- Broaden knowledge of the challenges Western allies may face during a Pacific conflict with regard to logistics and supply chains.
- Strategic awareness of a possible protracted operation in the Pacific theatre which has led the US to develop Joint Theatre Sustainment Distribution Centres.
- Explore how the centres would enable the US to minimise the requirement for strategic air lifts during a crisis or conflict.
