Scientists hit a 301 Tbps speed over existing fiber networks

Summary

1. Utilisation of E-band and S-bands can now speed up an existing optical fibre network.
2. Internet Service Providers, data centre operators, or Large Language Models will appreciate the additional terabits generated.
3. This is also a greener solution as newer cables aren’t required to increase data capacity and commercial value.
